Malyn Font

More About This Post

Malyn is a display face that argues with the page, in the useful sense: sharp corners, heavy strokes and letters thick enough to hold up on a flyer or a two metre poster. Kelik of 7NTypes drew it for print work where the headline lands before the small text, and it earns that job.

Most people looking for a Malyn Font download land on reupload sites that strip the license and rename the file. The cleaner route is the designer's listing on Creative Fabrica, where the file, the specimen and the license terms sit on one page.

What you get is a display font, not a text family. The product page preview lists two cuts, Malyn and Malyn Two, so you can size both before deciding which one carries the design. Install notes cover Windows, Mac and Linux.

It fits apparel graphics, sportswear prints, tour posters, flyers, logo marks and packaging fronts, anywhere the type is the image. It fights you in body copy, captions and form labels, where a face this heavy closes up around 10 or 11 pixels. It also looks wrong on brands trying to whisper.

The license deserves more attention than the specimen. Creative Fabrica sells fonts under different license modules, and the one that applies to your download is stated on the product page. Check that line before paid client work, do not resell or bundle the file into a template, and confirm the tier covers webfont embedding.

Before installing, set one real headline from your project in both cuts at the size it will print. Look at the tight pairs and at how the thick strokes hold at 100 percent, not in a zoomed preview. If the joints fill in on paper, you have saved yourself a redesign.

If the sample box renders your own line the way you want it, open Malyn Font and download from the designer's listing rather than a mirror. Product details here were checked on 21 October 2026, and prices plus license tiers change without notice.
